Advanced First Aid Course

A main distinction between our basic and advanced first aid course is the inclusion of additional equipment. Our advanced first aid courses demonstrate the use of more complex methods and equipment for first aid officers at workplaces.

Our advanced first aid courses also include incorporating first aid devices including bag valve masks. Although not in use at every workplace, these devices and those like them are common, and proper use before an ambulance arrives in an emergency situation may mean the difference between life and death.

Workplaces or organisations operating in remote areas where medical assistance can take considerable time to arrive often try advanced first aid courses. Advanced first aid personnel can be counted on to plan and handle the emergency response before specialists arrive.

This can also include a wider variety of cases such as severe trauma, sudden cardiac arrest, large-scale accident management, and mentally distressed and drug-affected injuries. In addition, the course also concentrates more critically on human anatomy to help students understand not only what to do, but why.
